Learn to Meditate
Meditation is the perfect complement to your yoga practice. A dedicated practice using time-honoured methods will cultivate calm, clarity, self-awareness, and to helps us to connect with our naturally peaceful and joyful nature. Everybody can meditate, and a range of techniques from the yogic tradition, including pranayama (using the breath), mantra, and visualisation will be offered in this 5-week course.Each session will include a brief explanation of the techniques, which we will practice together. Time will be allowed for questions and sharing. Topics covered will include:
*cultivating joy and gratitude through meditation
*self-study – dealing with arising thoughts, memories and emotions
*awakening the wisdom within: strengthening your intuition
*creating a lifestyle that supports your meditation practice
You will be supported in establishing a daily home practice, and you will be provided with a personal meditation journal to record your experiences and insights, and a weekly guided meditation to your inbox to support your home practice. .This course is perfect for newcomers and experienced meditators alike, and we will all benefit from the power of meditating as a group.
