Yoga class descriptions

RESTORATIVE YOGA
Restorative Yoga is the use of props to support the body in positions of comfort & ease, to facilitate relaxation & health – It is essentially “active relaxation”.

SPINAL CARE
This Hatha-inspired class aids in releasing tension in your neck, shoulders, upper to mid-back, and lower spine.

GENTLE FLOW YOGA NIDRA
This is a practice that begins with a sequence of gentle, flowing movements to warm up the body and connect with the breath, followed by a restorative Yoga Nidra practice.

SLOW DEEP STRETCH
This class is time to slow down. Take back control and find some stillness. Relax into a rhythm of unhurried breaths as you settle into longer-held postures.

SLOW FLOW
Taking our popular Vinyasa flow and slowing things down. Still the lovely synchronicity of movement with breath that helps to generate warmth into our bodies, but slowed down to savour and explore the benefits of each posture.

ALIGN AND FLOW
Align and Flow classes are mini workshops teaching students proper alignment.

VIN YIN YOGA
We warm up the body with 30 min of Vinyas Flow (re below). Then finish with 30 min of longer held Yin Yoga postures.

VINYASA
Vinyasa Flow moves through the postures progressively with an emphasis on uniting mindful movements with breath.
