These work together to maintain balance and harmony within the body’s energetic system\, influencing both physical and mental well-being. \n\nPrana Vayu: Governs the intake of energy\, including breath and sensory experiences.\nApana Vayu: Manages the downward and outward flow of energy\, including elimination and reproductive functions.\nSamana Vayu: Coordinates digestion and assimilation of nutrients.\nUdana Vayu: Controls upward energy flow\, including speech\, expression\, and mental clarity.\nVyana Vayu: Distributes energy throughout the body\, facilitating movement and coordination.\n\nRestorative yoga is a gentle and nurturing style of yoga that focuses on relaxation and deep rest. In a restorative yoga class we use props such as blankets\, bolsters\, and blocks to support your body in comfortable and passive poses. These poses are held for extended periods\, often several minutes at a time\, allowing the body to completely relax and release tension. \nThe primary goal of restorative yoga is to activate the parasympathetic nervous system\, also known as the “rest and digest” system.
