A beloved guest in our community, Madhava returns to Brisbane for another unforgettable night — this time at Clayfield Yoga Studio on Brisbane’s northside on Friday, May 1.
With his striking appearance — matted dreadlocks, a sculpted goatee, and an array of piercings and tattoos — you might expect a punk rock performance. But the moment Madhava begins to sing, everything shifts. His voice carries a rare sweetness that gently draws you inward, creating a deeply immersive and uplifting experience.
Whether you’re new to kirtan or have been on this path for years, this evening is open to all. Kirtan With Friends will guide you through the practice of mantra meditation in a welcoming and accessible way — all you need to bring is an open mind.

Whether you’re new to kirtan or a long-time lover of mantra meditation, this space is open to all who wish to slow down, tune in, and connect more deeply—with themselves and others.
If this is your first time joining a kirtan, there’s nothing to worry about—we’ll gently guide you through the simple, joyful practice of call-and-response chanting. All that’s needed is your presence and an open heart.
This offering is hosted by a small group of friends who are passionate about sharing the transformative power of mantra and creating spaces for spiritual community to grow.
