Deep Relaxing Immersion to Restorative Yoga
“Experience the rest of your life with restorative yoga”

Join Katie Delimon in a 2-hour journey of Deep Relaxing Immersion to Restorative Yoga. Taking
time to relax and renew is essential to living well. The antidote to stress is relaxation. To relax is
to rest deeply. This rest is different from sleep. Relaxation is a state in which there is no
movement, no effort, and the brain is quiet. Restorative yoga is “active relaxation.” By supporting
the body with props, we alternately stimulate and relax the body to move toward balance.
Unlike other exercise programs, restorative yoga poses place a minimal demand on you. They add
to your energy rather than subtract from it. During these periods of deep relaxation, you will be
healed and nurtured from within.
In general, restorative poses are for those times when you feel weak, fatigued, stressed, injured
or ill but is great to incorporate into your weekly practice to prevent such things from happening.
It encourages you to find the balance point between fast forward speed and collapsing in
exhaustion. It teaches you how to perfect the “art of being relaxed.” Think of it as taking a short
holiday in the yoga studio. Emerge fresh, energised and empowered by the knowledge of how to
incorporate restorative asanas into your yoga practice.
