Celebrating 19 Years of Clayfield Yoga Studio

To mark our 19th birthday, we’re honoured to host a special event as part of The Yoga Partnership’s annual fundraiser — The Big Yoga Sleep.

Join us for a 2-hour Sound-Bathed Restorative Yoga Session, designed to deeply relax your body and calm your nervous system. This nourishing experience includes:

✨ Crystal Singing Bowls
✨ Optional gentle palming, touch therapy & Reiki
✨ A long, guided Yoga Nidra and meditation

The Big Yoga Sleep was founded by my dear friend, Amy Booth of Amber Tree Yoga. The initiative brings yoga, meditation, and mindfulness to people who need it most — including those facing mental health challenges, trauma, and crisis recovery. These healing tools should be accessible to everyone, and your support helps make that possible.

Why This Matters

These days, it’s rare not to know someone touched by cancer. This is my Dad, Graham, and his sister Carolyn, who sadly didn’t survive kidney cancer. Dad made it through his six-month treatment journey, not without difficulty- his yoga sessions gave him peace and steadiness during his most challenging days.

In our own Clayfield Yoga commUNITY, we’ve practised alongside students facing their battles. Their strength reminds us why we gather, why we give, and why these practices matter.

Yoga, rest, and community are powerful tools for healing. Mental health plays a vital role in physical recovery, and The Yoga Partnership exists to make these tools available to more people.

Clayfield Yoga Studio opened in 2006 with a dream by Tanya Zappala and Jonathan Murphy to make yoga accessible to everyone. Today, CYS is home to a team of passionate, caring teachers who continue to provide a safe, healing space for our growing commUNITY.
