| $150Yoga For Pelvic Floor Health – Women’s Health Series
with Senior Yoga Physiotherapist Tamara James
How often does your yoga teacher address your pelvic health?
It’s probably quite rare, as pelvic floor health is something we don’t often shyly don’t talk about socially, let alone in a yoga class. Yet yoga can provide an important space to bring awareness to the pelvis and pelvic floor, something both not just women but also men need to work with and maintain throughout their lives.
“Like other areas of the body the pelvic floor and muscles in the pelvic area need work to be maintained, and this means we need to talk about it.”
This brief workshop will give participants a better understanding of their pelvic musculature.
- Address both tightness and weakness of muscles
- Learn techniques and other practical tools to manage sensitivity and urgency.
- Integrate in your asana practice with both relaxation techniques and gentle activation.
At the end of the session you will have the awareness to be more sensitive to the state of the pelvic floor and have the skills to improve toilet habits and health.

Date: Sunday, 23rd August

Testimonial: Thank you for the Bone Density workshop. I really enjoyed it. I walked away with lots to work on and feel really inspired. I very much appreciate Tam’s experience and the collaborative spirit of the workshop. I would be interested in attending a workshop on pelvic floor health. A practical session would be great too, ie a yoga class using weights applying the principles relating to bone health. I had never been to the Clayfield Yoga Studio and really enjoyed the space, too. Many thanks Ulrike
